In the home of Grace Afonso, each room is a canvas.
Although she has six houses, the house near stracona seems to be the most suitable one by far.
"Everything I set up, I set it to paint.
Afonso is a family scene painter.
"Country self-driving, dining table, baking, tea sets and other guests;
My paintings are about people and family.
"Less than a year ago, Afonso moved to the vicinity of stracona.
She scaled down from a suburban Oakville home, giving away or redesigning furniture to fit in with 1,200 square feet.
First of all, the narrow house was painted before and after, and far & Ball called it an easy-to-accept white color for Wevet.
The wooden floor in the dining room and living room has a uniform coat of paint called cornwhite White, which is also far & Ball.
Although the brand is expensive, she loves the paint on the walls and finds that its superior coverage means using less paint.
These calm neutral colors become the background or canvas for her carefully considered furniture and painting vignettes, which are located on the display cabinets, tables and mantel of the restaurant.
The restaurant is the first room you enter from the front office where an IKEA glass front box is used to store books and artwork, baskets and boxes.
The box is faced with a fireplace on the opposite wall, painted white, with white candles on it.
The simple Still Life arranged reminds people of Morandi's paintings.
The big wooden table is an art center.
On one side is what Afonso said about her Mattis sofa, which is covered with colorful textiles.
"This is where everything happens," Afonso said . ".
"We knit, we draw, we read a book from the bookshelf.
Both daughters of Alfonso are weaving.
Jessica has finished OCAD (
It is now a University, formerly Ontario College of Art and Design)
Although Amber has an artistic talent, she is working on becoming a farmer.
In the living room, two pieces of Jessica's weaving are hung in twoseater couch.
One is woven fabric, the other is coated with plastic, torn into strips, woven.
These parts are mounted on a white linen frame and placed on a wall with Nordic-style constraints.
Afonso has quality storage space, put two large wooden cabinets in the living room to work for books and collectibles, and use the stair platform at the bottom of the stairs to store her paintings.
Like most houses, the kitchen has recently been renovated.
However, Farrow & Ball bucket came out again and replaced the cabinet with a medium gray color called Worsted.
Although a table for two can be eaten quickly, it is often moved to one side to make way for Afonso's easel.
Since she was painted from observation, the winter months are the best for still life painting of episode Afonso set up in the house.
In the warm weather, she moved outside with something sensitive and sometimes deprived of the vision of rural life to capture rural Ontario.
Although she works part-time as a registered nurse at the Sick Children's Hospital in Toronto, she strives to draw four days a week.

Presented her in-house scene oil painting and represented at Mad & Noisy gallery in Creemore, The Butter Gallery in Collingwood, and the in2artgallery Gallery in Oakville.
An early painting by Afonso, called "pepper Pumpkin", appeared under her lights --filled bedroom.
The space was spacious, but it looked more spacious because of her amateur and curated decor, honed in her six years of work at the staging house in Oakville.
The bedroom is made of a mix of family houses, Pottery Barn and Ikea home.
To make Ikea furniture look new, like a sofa in her bedroom, Afonso got a new slip sleeve made by Bemz.

A wide variety of fabrics and legs are reserved for Ikea's wide selection of furniture.
The other bedroom on the second floor just happens to have enough space to accommodate a single bed from Restoration Hardware, a table that has been painted and repainted for many years, and a comfortable chair and stool.
One of her paintings, the field of spring, adds to the artist's loft atmosphere.
While the House still has more finishing touches to do and a painting studio to complete in the backyard, Afonso is happy to settle down in her favorite community.
Close to Victoria Park, where she used to play tennis, not far from Sir John.
MacDonald High School, where she learned to love art.
"Every elective course I take, I take art classes: pottery, weaving, jewelry making, painting, photography, sculpture, it's a great exposure.
"And Fine training to capture and celebrate the warm eyes of the home scene. krenwald@gmail.
